Congratulations are in order for Mia Feuer of Washington, whose sculptures were awarded “Best in Show”. Feuer also takes home $10,000. Caryl Burtner from Richmond was awarded second place and given $2,000; Ryan Browning from Frederick, MD placed third and received $1,000 and the “Young Artist” award of $1,000 was given to Lu Zhang of Baltimore.
The Trawick Prize was established in 2003 by Carol Trawick, a long-time community activist in downtown Bethesda. To date, The Trawick Prize has awarded over $126,000 in prize monies and has exhibited the work of over 100 regional artists.
