>> Byron Sanchez, 30, of D.C., will spend six years in prison for arranging to receive sexually explicit photos of a 12-year-old child in Guatemala. Sanchez, who is of Guatemalan decent, told a woman in Guatemala to take sexually explicit photos of the child and mail the film to him. When he received the film, Sanchez dropped it off at a CVS to have it developed. A store employee called police to report the images of child pornography, which led to Sanchez’s arrest.

>> Davon Holmes, 28, of Northwest D.C., has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of Marcellus Bailey, 24, on Aug. 3.

>> Aaron Andrews, 19, and Curtis Weeks, 18, both of D.C., were sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing a man and wounding another during a robbery of a dice game in a Southeast D.C. parking lot on Sept. 25, 2009.

>> Anthony Moreno, 25, was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison for possessing more than 8,800 images of child pornography. Moreno pleaded guilty in May to one count of possession of child pornography.

>> MPD announced that they have arrested Irving Harris Johnson of Northwest D.C. in the triple shooting on the 1400 block of Parkwood Place NW that killed two people in July.
