POLITICS: Both 701 (701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) and Ardeo+Bardeo (3311 Connecticut Avenue NW) are throwing Debate Happy Hours tonight, airing the Republican Presidential Candidates Debate and offering drink specials. 4-10:30 p.m. at 701 and 5-10:30 p.m. at Ardeo+Bardeo.

MOVIE: The National Press Club (529 14th Street NW) is screening Hot Coffee, a documentary that presents the real story of the McDonalds coffee lawsuit (the facts may surprise you) and how corporations are trying to discourage citizens from using the court system. 7 p.m. $5.

DANCE: Take part in an Oriental Dance/Belly Dance Class with instructor Marta Vizueta Bohorquez at BloomBars (3222 11th Street NW) tonight. 6:45-7:45 p.m. $10.

MUSIC: Portland band Starfucker plays the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) tonight with Beat Connection and Alexico. 8 p.m. $13.

TUESDAY: Ripple (3417 Connecticut Avenue NW) pairs 6 Sierra Nevada beers with 5 courses at their first ever beer dinner Tuesday. WEDNESDAY: National Geographic’s (1145 17th Street NW) All Roads Film Festival begins Wednesday with a screening of Grab at noon, a discussion on Lations in Modern Media at 2 p.m., and a screening of The Creators at 4 p.m. The film fest continues throught September 18th. Tickets are $10 for individual events, or $100 for all 9 films plus a dance party.

THURSDAY: 826DC/The Museum of Unnatural History (3233 14th Street NW) presents, with Cork Wine Bar, A Nose for Wine, a night of wine tasting with proceeds going to support the good work 826DC does for DC students. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets: $45.

FRIDAY: This weekend rounds out the end of the DC Shorts Film Festival. On Friday at Atlas Performing Arts Center (1333 H Street NE) check out Pink Shorts at 7 p.m. and Sexy Films at 9:30 p.m., or head over to the US Navy Memorial (701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) instead for Showcase 8 at 7 p.m. or Showcase 9 at 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday both offer Best of the Fest roundups, and Saturday features a closing party.
