There’s been plenty of talk about today’s LivingSocial deal — $10 for $20 worth of food — for two reasons: first, it’s pretty good; second, it has all but crushed the company’s servers with traffic. At the time of this writing, there have been over 737,000 purchases, and the folks at LivingSocial tell us that they’re approaching 100,000 buys an hour — that’s over 1,500 per minute.
All told, the Whole Foods deal could well turn out to be the company’s biggest, we’re told. Currently, the Amazon gift-card deal tops the list at 1.13 million, with a Fandango offer coming in at 1 million purchases. With 19 hours remaining on the Whole Foods deal, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it jump above Amazon.
We told you, Google Offers — this here’s a LivingSocial town.
