Photo by WilliamMarlow.MOVIE: While most of this year’s outdoor film festivals concluded last month, the U Street Movie Series at Harrison Field (V Street NW between 13th and 14th Streets) continues through October. Tonight, weather permitting, gather under the stars to see the short film Big Birding Day, about an epic 24-hour bird watching attempt, followed by Bag It, a documentary about a man’s choice to stop using plastic bags, and how it changes his life. If organizers decide to cancel due to rain (check their Facebook page for updates), the movie will be shown on Thursday, September 22. Gates 7 p.m., movie at sundown. Free.
>> For one night only, AFI Silver Theatre (8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring) presents Pearl Jam Twenty, a documentary about the band from formation, to celebrity, to aftermath. The 7:15 p.m. show has sold out, but there are still tickets available for the 9:45 p.m. show. $11.
TALK: NPR’s Diane Rehm moderates the panel talk A Voter’s Primer: Presidential Politics and the Constitution, which examines†how presidential campaigns “use (and mis-use) the Constitution,” at the National Archives William G. McGowan Theater (700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) Tuesday. 7-9 p.m. Free.
