>> Friends and family gathered Friday for the funeral of Dominique Frazier, the slain Bowie State University student who was stabbed to death by her roommate over the choice of music playing on an iPod.

>> A Rockville woman was hospitalized Thursday after she was attacked by a pit bull in the 14000 block of Pellita Terrace. Two women, one with a pit bull, were involved in an argument. During the argument, the pit bull attacked the other woman. The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening bites.

>> Jeffrey Britt, 19, was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison for the fatal shooting of George Rawlings, 21, at a Metro bus stop near the intersection of 14th and H Streets NE in 2009.

>> Tyrone Ball, 46, of Washington, D.C., pleaded guilty Friday to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl in August. Ball was the boyfriend of the victim’s mother. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

>> A man was shot in southeast D.C. Saturday. Police found him wounded but alert. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

>> D.C. police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday in the 1100 block of 21st Street NE. Officers found Isaiah Sheffield, 24, of Northeast, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. Police said they have no suspects or motive in the attack.
