>> Three acts from Cali (Potluck, Glasses Malone and Mista Fab), one from Kansas City (Irv Da Phenom) and another from Baltimore (Isolated Beingz) will be at the Rock & Roll Hotel. $13. 8 p.m.

>> “Afrobeat for Ya Soul!” is taking place at Bossa with DJ Underdog on the turntables and Sahel & EME performing live. $5. 9 p.m.

Friday:
>> It’s doubtful this fight will go down like the Mayweather-Ortiz matchup a few weeks ago, but it should be eventful, nonetheless. Soul Call Paul will referee/DJ the rematch of “James Brown vs. Stevie Wonder” at the Black Cat. $5. 10 p.m.

>> DJ Tedd Patterson is a veteran of the dance music scene, having started spinning in the 1980s at Atlanta clubs and writing about the development of house music for Billboard magazine. With that, he’s adept at knowing what records move a crowd. He’ll be at the U Street Music Hall with D.C.-based DJ talent, Sam “The Man” Burns and Chris Burns. Free before 11 p.m. / $10 after 11 p.m. Doors at 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> There are several strong recurring musical nostalgia nights in D.C. Another to add to the mix is “Reminisce”. Supa Qool DJ Quartermaine which focuses on ’90s R&B, hip-hop and dancehall. Free before 11 p.m. / $10 after 11 p.m. 10 p.m.

>> Brooklyn’s Das Racist has built up a strong following among folks who like their hip-hop on the lighter side with a touch of snark and irony thrown in. They’ll be at 9:30 Club along with Detroit native Danny Brown and Def Jux signee Despot. $20. 11:30 p.m.

Monday:
>> With a series of popular mixtapes showcasing his unique rhyme style and articles detailing his fashion sensibilities, Theophilus London has become a poster child for avant-garde hip-hop. The Brooklyn-based artist will be at the 9:30 Club with opening act, Ra Ra Rasputin. $20 7 p.m.
