THURSDAY: The Bangles play the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) with another all female rock band, Antigone Rising. 7 p.m. $25.
FRIDAY: Henry Rollins, former punk rocker and current spoken word artist, comes to National Geographic Live! (1600 M Street NW) to discuss his new book Occupants, which features photos he’s taken all over the world. This event is part of National Geographic’s “Music On…Photography” series. 7:30 p.m. $40.
SATURDAY: Over 60 vendors will participate in this weekend’s annual Taste of DC food festival (Pennsylvania Avenue between 9th and 14th Streets NW). 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday. 10 food and drink tickets for $15, or 20 for $25.
>> Capitol City Brewing Company presents the 12th annual Shirlington Oktoberfest this Saturday (Shirlington Village, 4001 Campbell Avenue, Arlington).
