…the home page of the transit agency’s website is defaulting to Korean text this morning. It seems as if anyone pointing their browser to “www.wmata.com” gets redirected to “ko.wmata.com”. (Those going to simply “wmata.com” aren’t affected.) Anybody from Seoul in the house?

UPDATE: Well, someone very familiar with Seoul is in the house — South Korean President Lee Myung-bak is in the District this week for an official state visit. No word from WMATA HQ on whether this is the reason for the website translation, but it’s our best educated guess.
