A fire at the Union Station Metro earlier this morning has caused all sorts of commuting havoc this morning, and the Post reports that significant delays on the Red Line are to be expected throughout the day.

Update, 10 a.m.: Looks like the Union Station Metro will re-open, but delays may persist for another hour or so.
