This morning, a man was killed in Mount Pleasant after a tree branch fell on him while he was walking in the 3200 block of Adams Mill Road NW. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. The man, who has not yet been identified, suffered severe trauma after being hit by the branch, was transported to the hospital, but died shortly thereafter.
