Photo by gerdaindc.HIGH HEEL RACE: The annual High Heel Race, which is celebrating its 25th year, takes over 17th Street (between P and S Streets NW) tonight for a high speed competition between elaborately costumed drag queens. This year, there will also be a food truck rally at 17th and O Streets so attendees can grab a snack. The race takes place at 9 p.m., but streets close and the fun begins at 6 p.m. Free to attend, $40 for VIP Tent.
BEER: Learn about the design process in the labeling and packaging of Rogue Brewery and Flying Dog beers at the Art of Beer event at Iron Horse Taproom (507 7th Street NW). Doors 6 p.m., networking and socializing 6-7 p.m., program goes from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets: $25.
