WEDNESDAY: And I Am Not Lying is an evening of storytelling (with storytellers from The Moth and This American Life), comedy and burlesque at the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW). 8 p.m. $12.
THURSDAY: The Phillips Collection (1600 21st Street NW) presents the next installment of its Phillips After 5 series, featuring an Experiment Station where you can learn to express your creativity, a gallery talk, and a magic show. 5-8:30 p.m. Tickets: $12.

SATURDAY: Celebrate the Vices of Virginia by indulging in copious amounts of bourbon, oysters, and cigars this Saturday at Woodlawn National Historic Site (9000 Richmond Highway, Alexandria). Proceeds from the event go to support the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture and Woodlawn. 4 p.m. Tickets: $125.
SUNDAY: Bend time this Sunday at the Anything is Possible 5k Race (10400 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda), which, through the magic of Daylight Savings, begins at 1:50 a.m. and technically ends before you start. Registration: $35.
