You, me, and everyone we know might be up in arms with the insanity that’s currently going down in State College, Pennsylvania. But controversial decisions regarding the sexual assault of children is hardly limited to the center of the Keystone State.
Take, for example, Chris Seville Thomas, a 20-year-old District resident who pled guilty to attempted first-degree child sexual abuse earlier this fall. Thomas reportedly asked a 13-year-old girl who was walking on a Northeast Washington sidewalk if she would braid his hair; once the girl agreed, he took her to his home and had sex with her.
Thomas’ sentence? 39 months in prison.
