While traveling out of town is the story of the day for most people, those of you who are sticking around town for the Thanksgiving holiday will want to keep in mind that Metro will be operating on a Sunday schedule this Thursday, with Metrorail opening at 7 a.m. and closing at midnight. A regular weekday schedule will be in place for Friday.

There will not be any significant track work throughout the Thanksgiving holiday period, so those of you sticking around also have that going for you.

If you are heading out of town today, WMATA is running additional 5A and B30 buses to Dulles and BWI, respectively.
