FRIDAY

COMEDY: Laugh the calories off from yesterday’s feast tonight at DC Improv (1140 Connecticut Avenue NW) where Judah Friedlander from 30 Rock will be doing standup. He will also be performing tomorrow. Shows at 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets: $20.

THEATER: After spending Thursday feasting on flesh (of poultry, of course), spend tonight at Landless Theatre Company’s delectable production of Cannibal! The Musical, written by South Park’s Trey Parker, at the DC Arts Center (2438 18th Street NW). 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $25.

>> You may have seen The Nutcracker before, but have you ever seen it performed by puppets? The Puppet Co.’s life-size marionettes act out the classic holiday tale at at The Puppet Co. Playhouse (7300 MacArthur Boulevard Glen Echo, MD ) today, Saturday, and Sunday at 11:30 and 1 p.m. $10.

LIGHTS: Zoo Lights, the National Zoo’s (3001 Connecticut Avenue NW) annual animal-themed holiday lights display is back tonight. Come wander through tonight, tommorrow, or Sunday, or one of the other dates this month and next. 5-9 p.m. Free.

TREE: Thanksgiving is over, commence Christmas celebrations. Get in the holiday spirit at the National Harbor’s (150 National Plaza Fort Washington, MD) 2011 Harbor Lights Festival, featuring a holiday market from noon to 9 p.m., the Radio King Orchestra at 7 p.m., and a Christmas tree lighting and fireworks show at 8 p.m. Free.

BURLESQUE: Hit the Red Palace (1212 H Street NE) tonight for the Black Friday Sideshow and Burlesque Variety Cavalcade, which will include burlesque, comedy, and live music from The Sweater Set. Doors 9 p.m., show 10 p.m. $10.

MUSIC: The swing dancing, instruction courtesy of Gottaswing, continues on the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (2700 F Street NW) tonight with Nellie McKay and the Eric Felten Jazz Orchestra. There will be two sets at 5 and 8:30 p.m. Free.

MUSIC: Sadly, though not surprisingly, the They Might Be Giants show at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) Saturday with Jonathan Coulton has sold out. Aren’t you glad we clued you in on Monday, when there were still tickets left? Try good ol’ Craig to see if there’s any hope. 8 p.m. $30.

>> MASSIVE, an electronic dance music event featuring Moby, Diplo, Armand Van Helden, and many others, comes to the RFK Stadium Lot Saturday from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Tickets: $69.50-$159.50.

>> Simple Plan plays The Fillmore (8656 Colesville Road Silver Spring, MD) Saturday with Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab, and Marianas Trench. 8 p.m. Tickets: $22.50.

SHOPPING: If you didn’t spend your whole holiday budget on Black Friday, then take part in Small Business Saturday on the streets of Adams Morgan (18th Street and Columbia Road NW). There will be free coffee at Tryst (10 a.m.), a winter fashion show (11 a.m.-12 p.m.), live music and more. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
