Seeing military helicopters flying over the District’s skyline is just part and parcel of living in the nation’s capital, and DCist reader John LaRue sent along a picture he snapped yesterday of three Chinooks caught in mid-hover over the Kennedy Center. And as any seasoned resident will tell you, whenever you see three of the same types of helicopter cutting through the air, there’s likely someone important in one of them.

Correction: I’ve been informed by enough helicopter connoisseurs that these are in fact Sea Knights, not Chinooks. My apologies.
