GARDENS: Wander through the Season’s Greenings holiday displays at the U.S. Botanical Gardens (100 Maryland Avenue SW) while you listen to live Russian folk music by Samovar tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free.

LIGHTS: Zoolights, the animal-themed holiday lights display, is still going on at the National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Avenue NW). While you’re there, take a spin around the zoo’s “iceless skating rink,” made up of a synthetic material rather than real ice. 5 to 9 p.m. The lights are free, the rink is $5 for 30 minutes of ice time and $2 for skate rental.

FOOD & DRINK: The Source (575 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) is offering a special Peking duck meal, with seasonal sides and a slice of 15-layer carrot cake, tonight through this Saturday. Call (202) 637-6100 for reservations. $49.

FUNDRAISER: Raise money for Bread for the City at Fado Irish Pub’s (808 7th Street NW) Ugly Sweater Party tonight. 5 p.m. to midnight. $10 includes admission, one Heineken, and two raffle tickets for a $100 Fado gift card.
