>> “NSO Meets Hip Hop & Soul” will see members of the National Symphony Orchestra collaborate with Asheru and Tamika “Love” Jones to celebrate music of Chevalier de Saint-Georges, an Afro-French composer and violinist popular in the latter half of the 18th Century. >> The film, Hip-Hop: The Furious Force of Rhymes, is going to be shown and discussed during a panel titled “Glocal: Thinking Globally, and the Impact of Rapping Locally.” Slated to participate are yU, Gavin, Carolyn Malachi and Magee. The event takes place at Hyattville’s Busboys and Poets at 7 p.m. Free.
