SIDESHOW: The Lizardman, who has appeared on Ripley’s Believe It or Not, National Geographic’s Taboo, and The Daily Show, brings his comedy and sideshow act to the Red Palace (1212 H Street NE) tonight. 9 p.m. $5 in advance, $10 day of.

ART: Stop by a reception this evening for the Corcoran’s (500 Seventeenth Street NW ) new exhibition of student work, on display through February 5, and maybe some day you’ll say, “I knew them when…” 6-8 p.m.

LITERARY ARTS: Words Liive, at the Atlas Performing Arts Center (1333 H Street NE) tonight, is a “Literary Arts fusion program,” featuring spoken word performances, a mini lecture, DJ, happy hour, and a hip/hop soul band. 6:00 p.m. $10.

DANCE: The Mark Morris Dance Group is accompanied by the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, The Washington Bach Consort, and four vocalists at the Kennedy Center (2700 F Street NW) tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. 7:30 p.m. $19-$60.

MUSIC: Cowboy Mouth plays the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) tonight with The Assembly Line. 7 p.m. $25.
