FOOD & DRINK: The Black Squirrel (2427 18th Street NW) will be hosting a Big, Bad, and Epic beer event tonight. They’ll be tapping three Epic Brewing Company beers (the Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout, Smoked and Oaked Belgian-Style Dark Ale, and Spiral Jetty IPA) and will be pairing them with dishes from Chef Gene Sohn (pan-seared scallops, mushroom-stuffed quail, and fried apple rings). Epic co-owner David Cole will be on hand for the event. If you can’t make it tonight these beer and food pairings will be available through February 4. 6:00-9:00 p.m.
