This week most of the features of the DCist Food section will be dedicated to that most delicious of foods — Tube Meat, in the form of sausages (and their subset, hot dogs).
Because as we all know meat is hot. Scratch that. Sausage is big. Oh boy. It’s going to be a long week. We thought that with that romantic/dreaded/commercialized/sweet/whatever day coming up tomorrow, there would be no better time to have a week dedicated to cylindrical meats.
We’ll hear from a number of local sausage makers, butchers, and explore sausage dishes from around town. So gird yourself for a week of delicious tube meats and devilish double entendres.
