We’ve had plenty of coverage of all things encased meats this week, so the usual Weekly Feed is on a brief hiatus. A few small bites to share, though:

Share Our Strength brunch
For those who can’t shell out the $95 for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation event, there’s now a $45 pre-event that will raise money to fight childhood hunger. On March 3, from 12:30-3:00 p.m. Jack Rose will play host to brunch with contributions from Belga Café, Northside Social, Lyon Hall, Liberty Tavern, Café Saint-Ex, Bar Pilar, Domku, and Shake Shack. In addition, Gina Chersevani, Rachel Sergi of Jack Rose, Chantal Tseng of Tabard Inn and David Fritzler of Tryst will be making cocktails.

Tube Meat Week continues
Earlier this week, we spoke with Jamie Stachowski about his forthcoming shop in Georgetown. On February 23 at 7 p.m., at 3 Restaurant, you’ll be able to sample his fare when they host a five-course sausage and beer dinner, featuring dishes like larb gai with spicy chicken sausage, and oyster Rockefeller with spicy sausage panko. Seats are $50 per person, and reservations are required. Email events@restaurantthree.com for reservations.

826 pints on the bar
Local writing non-profit 826DC is raising money via a beer dinner at Birch & Barley on March 12, at 7 p.m.. Tickets for the $150 event include five courses, and nine beers.

Suck the Head; Pinch the Tail
Start your Mardi Gras early with a crawfish boil at Pearl Dive Oyster Palace on February 20 from noon-4 p.m. The event features all-you-can-eat crawfish, and all-you-can-drink Abita Amber, as well as suckling pig, cornbread and other treats. Tickets are $60 (not including tax), and can be purchased by calling 202.319.1612.
