>> The second edition of the first Friday event, “Fever,” takes place at HR-57. Spinning joints from the the ’70s through ’90s will be DJ Stylus. Free before 10 p.m. / $10 after 10 p.m. 9 p.m.

>> “Moneytown” at Little Miss Whiskey’s goes down featuring funk, hip-hop and other tunes meant to keep the party going. As usual, DJ Nitekrawler plays host and Skeme Richards from Philly serving as this month’s visiting selector. Free. 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> “Reminisce” is a monthly party hosted by Supa Qool DJ Quartermaine at Liv. On deck are classic hip-hop, R&B and dancehall tunes from years gone by. This edition will focus on the music of Brooklyn. $10 after 11 p.m. 10 p.m.

>> Jim Jones is one of the more active rappers on the scene. In support of his latest mixtape, Vampire Life: We Own The Night, the Harlem emcee will be at U Street Music Hall. $15. 7 p.m.
