COMEDY: Seven funny ladies, including DCist’s Valerie Paschall, are taking part in Comedy on the Table, an all-women’s comedy night at the Velvet Lounge (915 U Street NW) this evening. Proceeds will be donated to HIPS. 7:00-9:00 p.m. $5.

FITNESS: Crystal City’s 5K Fridays start back up this week and continue every Friday in April. Register, lace up your kicks, and head to 2121 Crystal Drive to participate. 6:30 p.m. $20 for each race, or $60 for all four.

MUSIC: Travis Jackson of Windian Records brings the two-day F*** SXSW, featuring 11 bands in all, to the Montserrat House (2016 9th Street NW) tonight and tomorrow. 8:30 p.m. $12 in advance or $15 at the door for each show.

PILLOW FIGHT: In honor of International Pillow Fight Day, let the feathers (or down-alternative stuffing) fly this Saturday at a pillow fight on the National Mall near the Smithsonian castle. Check out photos from last year to see what you’ll be getting yourself into. 1:30 p.m. Free.

BURLESQUE: Nerd alert! Epic Win Burlesque, described as “the nerdiest burlesque show in New York City,” brings their sexy, geeky show to the Red Palace (1212 H Street NE) this Saturday. Shows at 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. $10 in advance, $12 day of.

VARIETY: A half dozen musicians and comedians take part in The Capital City Showcase this Saturday at the DC Arts Center (2438 18th Street NW). 10:00 p.m. Tickets: $10 online, $15 at the door.

MUSIC: Video Games Live, a combination of orchestra instruments, electic guitars, singers, lights, and videos, bringing to life popular songs from video games is back at the Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Lane North Bethesda, MD) Saturday. FOOD & DRINK: Forget chocolate bunnies and Cadbury eggs, celebrate Easter with
Zaytinya’s (701 9th Street NW) Greek Easter Festival, featuring dishes like traditional roasted spring lamb, this Sunday through April 22.

MUSIC: Screaming Females gave “one of the most intense performances of the festival” at SXSW this year, according to Valerie’s scouting report. See them Sunday at the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) with Laura Stevenson and the Cans. 8:00 p.m. $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
