Flickr contributor NCinDC was always a longtime favorite of mine, but he or she seems to have either decamped from the region or stopped taking pictures. Either way, this 2010 shot is a reminder of the simple solace you can find in any of Washington’s many museums. From looking at the picture, you’re left wondering who’s the art and who’s the subject. Is the man on the couch staring at the man in the painting, or vice versa?
