Local fans of Chick-fil-A will have to wait a little longer—a planned food truck has been delayed by two weeks, but will likely hit D.C. streets by the end of the month, reports NBC4.
Additionally, fans of the chicken purveyor should temper their excitement:
There’s some disappointing news on the food front, too: The truck will have no waffle fries, no sweet tea and no lemonade. However, it will be serving sandwiches, nuggets, brownies and soda. Oh, and salads. (Meh. We mean… oh! That’s great!)
Since I got raked over the coals the last time I wrote about Chick-fil-A, some disclaimers are needed: the restaurant’s charitable arm has given millions to organizations that have fought same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights. So if that makes you uncomfortable or doesn’t mix well with your own politics, you might want to stay away from the Chick-fil-A food truck. If that’s the case, give your money to a local restaurant instead!
If not, feel happy knowing that you’re not an awful person if you eat there—at least that’s what this awesome music video says:
