MOVIES: FilmFestDC, an international film festival in the nation’s capital, kicks off this Thursday and continues through April 22nd. Check out the full film line-up online. Tickets: Most films are $11, with multiple ticket packages ranging from $33 to $80.

>> Artisphere’s (1101 Wilson Boulevard Arlington VA) Music in Film series continues tonight with a screening of Almost Famous followed by a panel discussion with DCist’s own Valerie Paschall, Jennifer Vinson of DC Setlist, Chris Richards of the Washington Post, Pitchfork contributor Aaron Leitko, and freelancer Sarah Godfrey. 7:30 p.m. $8.

FOOD & DRINK: The Museum of the American Cocktail presents A Tribute to Bars, Speaks, and Legendary Saloons, an evening of stories, cocktails, and songs at The Passenger’s Warehouse Theater (1021 7th Street NW). 6:00 p.m. Tickets: $45 online, $50 at the door.
