MOVIES: FilmFest DC continues this week, with a variety of international films. Tonight see Happy New Year, Grandma! WEDNESDAY: Story League’s sixth story contest, Unforgivable/Unforgettable, offers up nine true stories of “the best/worst thing anyone’s ever done for/to you” this Wednesday at Busboys and Poets (2021 14th Street NW). 9:00 p.m. $10.

THURSDAY: Continue to celebrate the arrival of Space Shuttle Discovery at the Udvar-Hazy Center this Thursday (8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.), and/or head over to Restaurant 3 (2950 Clarendon Boulevard Arlington VA) in Clarendon for their first Summer Patio Pig Roast of the season, starting at 5:00 p.m.

FRIDAY: Take part in Kimchi, Drinks, and a Movie for a screening of The Chaser, a discussion with Director Na Hong-jin, and a reception of rice wine and savory jeon pancakes at the Freer Gallery of Art (Independence Avenue at 12th Street SW) this Friday. Reception 6:00 p.m., screening 7:00 p.m. Free, but reservations required.

SATURDAY: The Cherry Blast: Art + Music Dance Party features drumming group Batala, a new work by Bluebrain, a pop-up cafe from Busboys and Poets, and more this Saturday at The Lightbox (2235 Shannon Place SE). 8:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. $10.

SUNDAY: Celebrate Earth Day with oysters on the half shell, grilled oysters, oyster stew, an oyster eating contest, music, and dirnks at Poste’s (555 8th Street NW) Oysterstock 2012 this Sunday. 2:00-8:00 p.m. $75 all you can eat.
