>> The Post reports that the sole survivor of a deadly Chevy Chase car crash has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Montgomery County Police, alleging that they rammed the car he was in, causing it to hit a tree and burst into flames, killing the driver and two passengers. Police had been pursuing the vehicle after it had been reported stolen; they claim it entered Chevy Chase Circle at high speed, lost control and crashed into a tree. In the suit, 18-year-old Reeco Richardson claims that car had been going up to 100 mph down Connecticut Avenue but slowed to a stop in the circle, and only hit the tree after being rammed by a police car.

>> Former Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. will be sentenced next week for stealing over $350,000 in city funds, and the U.S. Attorney for the District has said that he wants him to serve 46 months in prison, reports the Examiner. (The City Paper has the sentencing recommendation.) Thomas’ lawyer have asked for a more lenient sentence—18 months in prison, six months of home confinement, three years of probation, 1,500 hours of community service, and restitution.

>> Good news for you users of the 52 and 54 Metrobus lines—the bus driver originally thought to have viral meningitis didn’t actually ever contract the virus, reports WTOP. After the news broke earlier this week, Metro took the bus he was driving out of service and disinfected an additional 164 buses.
