Good morning, Washington. It’s getting hot again today. The 80-degree weather is coming with scattered thunderstorms this morning, but it should be nice by this afternoon if, say, you’re planning on any kind of outdoor activism. (More on that in a bit.)
Is There Nowhere to Park in this Town? For some residents of a new apartment complex in Southwest Waterfront, the answer to this question could very well be a definitive and confounding “yes.” WTOP reports that a building going up on a section of M Street SW where structures are usually limited to 40 feet will be permitted to reach its planned 110-foot height. But that’s not the tricky part. The building is set to contain 210 units, but only 151 parking spaces, and tenants shut out of the garage won’t be able to obtain on-street parking permits from the city. Weird.
Under the Bus: Last summer, a Brooklyn-based entrepreneur started partnering with IMP to sell charter-bus packages to concerts at Merriweather Post Pavilion for $40 a pop under the brand name Rock and Bus. But last weekend, hundreds who ordered a ride to the Sweetlife Festival were left in the lurch, the City Paper reports. Additionally, on the buses that did make it, people reported that some personal belongings left on the coaches were missing at the end of the show. Rock and Bus’ CEO says refunds are coming, but he doesn’t know when.
Two Stabbings in D.C.: D.C. police are investigating two fatal stabbings that happened overnight. Later this morning, police responded to a car crash at Fifth Street and Florida Avenue NW and found the driver with stab wounds to the neck. The man was pronounced dead at a hospital.

This Day in DCist: Has it really been 366 days? Because that’s how long it’s been since Osama bin Laden met those Navy SEALS. In 2010, Capitals forward Eric Fehr doubled as media critic.
