The applicants claim that a six-person city panel charged with judging applicants for the city’s program did not fairly assess their applications.

>> Interesting tidbit from the Examiner: D.C. Council Chair Kwame Brown keeps a note on his desk that reads, “Harry has been indicted.” The Harry in question is of course Harry Thomas, Jr., who was sentenced last week to over three years in jail for stealing $350,000 in city funds. Brown himself is under investigation for irregularities in his 2008 campaign finance reports.
