Photo by Unbleached BrunApologies for the late notification, but at 4 p.m this afternoon Häagen-Dazs started dishing it out for free. The ice cream chain with the phony Scandinavian name (its founders though something Danish-sounding would be alluring to customers), is handing out free cones until 8 p.m. tonight.
So, if you need your fix of faux-Nordic dairy dessert, get yourself to one of Häagen-Dazs’ three D.C. locations at Union Station, Gallery Place or 3120 M Street NW. The full list of participating shops, including several in Maryland and Virginia, is available on the company’s Facebook page.
And if standing around waiting for a free crème brulée cone isn’t your thing, the Ben & Jerry’s Greek yogurt truck is still kicking it around D.C. for a few more days.
