It’s a good day to be Joe Biden. Just hours ago, President Obama, prodded undoubtedly by the vice president’s embrace on Sunday of same-sex marriage, affirmed his support for marriage equality.
But nudging his boss’ “evolution” on one of the seminal issues of our time isn’t the only feather Biden can stick in his metaphorical cap today. The vice president will appear on tonight’s episode of Jeopardy! to read some of the clues in the popular game show’s Teen Tournament.
The Jeopardy! episode was taped last month at DAR Constitution Hall when the game show filmed its Teen Tournament and “Power Players” editions here. Biden was enlisted to read a category of car-themed questions. The vice president is a noted muscle-car enthusiast. Last October, he told Car and Driver he once washed and waxed a 1967 Corvette in his driveway while wearing a bathing suit.
Jeopardy! airs at 7 p.m. on WJLA.
Striking a blow for equal rights and appearing on Jeopardy! on the same day? Congratulations, Mr. Vice President, you’re officially having the best day in Washington.
