There might not be much nearby other than empty lots and half-filled office towers, but we’ve always thought that in the right light, Nationals Park is quite the scenic place to catch a game. The center field view faces away from our picturesque skyline, but the view across the Anacostia is still quite expansive. Is it the prettiest in Major League Baseball? Perhaps not, but that’s not for us to say.

Still, one expects the Nationals to defend their own turf. Or at least, if they’re going to appreciate a rival’s ballpark, not declare it the unequivocal best in baseball. But that’s exactly what the team’s public relations Twitter account did last night, soaking in the home-plate view at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park. But it didn’t stop there—@NationalsPR even declared Pittsburgh to be America’s most beautiful city:

All of a sudden, it’s like D.C. is the Rodney Dangerfield of the National League. We can’t get no respect. Not even from our own baseball team.
