July 20 can’t get here soon enough. Why? That’s the day that The Dark Knight Rises, the third and presumably final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, opens in movie theaters everywhere. The promotions, already at a fever pitch, will only get louder from this point on.

But there’s one shameless plug that we’re really excited for: The Batmobile. Although the tank-like “Tumbler” introduced in Batman Begins self-destructed halfway through 2008’s The Dark Knight, it looks like Batman’s has gotten himself a new model for the new movie. And it’s going on a nationwide tour beginning tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow in Bentonville, Ark.—um, why?—Warner Bros. Pictures is sending the Batmobile and accompanying Bat-Pod around the country for the two months before The Dark Knight Rises finally opens. It’s set to pass through Chicago on May 25 before hitting D.C. on Sunday, May 27.

This real Batmobile is a bigger, badder beast than the Lamborghini convertible favored by Lenny B. Robinson, a Maryland businessman who dresses up as the Caped Crusader and entertains sick children in D.C.-area hospitals. Lamborghinis are awesome, to be sure, but they’re much more suited to Bruce Wayne than Batman.
