- Two teens have been charged from yesterday’s shooting outside the Rockville Metro Station, according to WTOP. The victims were a 16-year-old boy, who had multiple shots, and an 18-year-old woman, who was an innocent bystander. Both of their injuries weren’t life threatening.
- Virginia now has new polling place identification requirements for registered voters. CBS reports that Gov. Bob McDonnell has changed state voter ID requirement laws that have been in place for 12 years.
- D.C. ranks first for having the highest teen unemployment in the country. The Examiner reports results from a study conducted by the Employment Policies Institute.
- A male student from Calvert County was suspended from school for wearing girls’ clothing. NBC Washington reports that Warren Evans, an openly bisexual student, is saying that his southern Maryland school is discriminating against him.
- Maryland’s highest court says same-sex divorce is OK. The Court of Appeals ruled 7-0 yesterday that couples who were married from another state can divorce in Maryland, according to the AP.
- Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green finally wraps up his college academic career. The Post reports that Green will graduate today from Georgetown University with a major in English and minor in theology after being drafted by the NBA five years ago.
- The Orioles defeated the Nationals 2-1 last night. The AP reports that Baltimore’s Nick Markakis’ home run in the 11th inning gave the Orioles their fourth straight victory.
