- A fatal accident this morning closed the

- Police identified a victim from a Friday night homicide that took place in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, NW. WUSA reports that the victim was 42-year-old John Wesley Griffin of Southeast D.C.
- President Barack Obama and leaders of the Group of Eight industrial nations, also known as the G8, gathered yesterday at Camp David. Obama said the discussion, which ranged from North Korea and Iran’s nuclear energy program to the economic crises in Europe, was “very fruitful,” according to Politico.
- More than 200 Ethiopian activists from the Baltimore-Washington area descended into Thurmont, Md. yesterday to protest against Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, who was involved in the G8 summit at nearby Camp David. The AP reports that no arrests were made during the three-hour demonstration.
- While the leaders were meeting, first lady Michelle Obama hosted a lunch yesterday for their spouses at the White House. The AP reports that Chef José Andrés was invited to prepare the luncheon.
- DC United won 3-1 against Toronto FC last night; while the Nationals lost to the Orioles 6-5. D.C. and Baltimore play again this afternoon.
