>> Two teens have been charged for a shooting that injured two at the Rockville Metro station last week, reports WAMU. Kevin Nguyen, 16, and Tavares Harris, 17 are charged with attempted first-degree murder and of other charges for opening fire at the station on Friday afternoon; two people were hit and injured.

>> Maybe Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell has reason to skeptical of Metro’s Silver Line out to Dulles. The Examiner reports that the Department of Transportation’s Inspector General published a report last week detailing excessive and questionable spending by members of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the institution charged with building the $3 billion second phase out to Dulles and Loudoun County. The expenses included $4,800 for three Hawaiian dinners, $238 for two bottles of wine and $9,200 for an airline ticket to Prague.

>> In a story that’s ready for some Law & Order treatment, the Post reports on the mysterious beating of Svetlana Guggenheim, a D.C. woman who was found attacked in her apartment in April. While police have hinted that her husband, celebrity marine biologist David Guggenheim, might be to blame—they say Svetlana implicated him early on—she now says she has no recollection of what happened that night. She is recovering at the Washington Hospital Center, and only recently was able to see her husband—police kept him away for weeks because he was considered a suspect in the beating.
