Even a big-city mayor wants to knock off early on a pre-long weekend Friday, right?

It seems like it. Mayor Vince Gray stopped by the New York Avenue Beach Bar yesterday afternoon to cut the ribbon on the new beach-themed bar featuring 70 tons of Ocean City sand. But he didn’t just do the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, say a few niceties and leave—he also jumped into a game of cornhole.

No word on how he fared, but his weekend schedule is free, so you might see him down there again.
