Twitter is a wonderful took to interact with friends, followers, fans, and constituents. It’s also a quick outlet for frustration. Relative Twitter newbie Councilmember Jack Evans (D-Ward 2) seems to have proven as much recently with two testy tweets in which he challenged the intelligence of a follower and derisively called another “Einstein.”

@OhBootsy @VonniMediaMogul Goodbye? Running unopposed, Einstein.

Oh snap! To be honest, this is classic Evans—he’s a smart guy after all, and he’s been known to have a quick tongue and biting sense of humor. And he’s certainly not the only elected official in D.C. that’s taken the fight to Twitter—Councilmember Marion Barry (D-Ward 8) is a notorious tweeter, sending out everything from insults to pictures of himself at a hospital. Yesterday Kwame Brown made some news by tweeting…about go-go, instead of that other thing.
