FOOD & DRINK: Station 4 restaurant (1101 4th Street SW) is hosting a Sam Adams IPA Hopology Beer Dinner tonight featuring six courses paired (watermelon salad, smoked octopus carpaccio, aged cheddar cheese brulee, pulled pork sliders, shrimp mac and cheese, and a ricotto cheesecake) with six Samuel Adams beers (Grumpy Monk Belgian IPA, Latitude 48 IPA, Dark Depths, White Water IPA, Tasman Red IPA, and Third Voyage-Double IPA). 6:00-9:00 p.m. $25 plus tax and tip.

MUSIC: Beginning tonight and continuing through August, the United States Navy Band will be holding free performances on the steps of the Capitol on Mondays and at the U.S. Navy Memorial on Tuesdays. 8 p.m. each day. Free.

BOOKS: The sassy and now mostly plastic Joan Rivers discusses her book I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue (600 I Street NW) tonight. Unfortunately, this event is sold out. 7:30 p.m.

THURSDAY: Are you celebrating Flag Day this Thursday? If you’re a D.C. resident it may be a reminder that you’re not represented in Congress or on the American flag. Join local organizers at the Second Annual DC Flag Day Celebration in Dupont Circle. Those who attend are invited to “wear your DC Flag tees, show off your DC Flag tattoos, bring your DC Flags to wave, bring a friend and bring your love for DC!” Fingers crossed D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton makes it out this year, like she did last year. SATURDAY:
Eight lady arm wrestlers from eight Collectives of Lady Arm Wrestlers (CLAW) across the country (Austin, Brooklyn, Charlottesville, Chicago, DC, Durham, Hudson Valley, and New Orleans) will complete in the first ever SuperCLAW championship in Charlottesville’s Jefferson Theater this Saturday. Watch the bout live with the DC Lady Arm Wrestlers at the American Legion Post 8 (224 D Street SE) and cheer on DC’s lady arm wrestling representative Amy Smackhouse. 8:30 p.m. $5.
