FLAG DAY: Are you celebrating Flag Day today? If you’re a D.C. resident it may be a reminder that you’re not represented in Congress or on the American flag. Join local organizers at the Second Annual D.C. Flag Day Celebration in Dupont Circle. Those who attend are invited to “wear your D.C. Flag tees, show off your D.C. Flag tattoos, bring your D.C. Flags to wave, bring a friend and bring your love for D.C.!” Fingers crossed D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton makes it out this year, like she did last year. The event will take place 5:00-8:00 p.m., followed by an after-party at Eighteenth Street Lounge from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

STORYTELLING: And I Am Not Lying at the Black Cat Backstage (1811 14th Street NW) has something for everyone Thursday: storytelling (with storytellers from The Moth and This American Life), comedy, burlesque, and sideshow. 8:00 p.m. $12.

MUSIC: Marissa Nadler brings “beautiful, haunting songs with complex textures” to DC9 (1940 9th Street NW) tonight with Marian McLaughlin and Faces on Film. 8:30 p.m. $10.
