Thursday’s performance will feature drummer Harold Summey, winner of the 1992 Thelonius Monk Competition, a member of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” and a professor of jazz studies at Howard University. 5:00-8:00 p.m. Free.

FRIDAY: Brightest Young Things is holding an after hours event at National Geographic (1600 M Street NW) this Friday. Join in the fun and explore exhibits in the museum, live martial arts demos with glow stickcs, a performance by art dance party group Cheryl Will Ruin Your Life, standup comedy, DJs, and more. 8:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. $20 in advance, $25 day of.
