Few things mark summer in D.C. like the free concerts at Fort Reno in Tenleytown. The series begins anew tonight, assuming today’s forecast of scattered thunderstorms dissipates by 7 p.m.

Now in their 45th year, the concerts at Fort Reno start tonight with sets by Teen Mom, Alarms & Control and Upforth. Teen Mom recently released its debut EP, Mean Tom, featuring three songs’ worth of jangle-y and moody guitar pop.

Thursday’s set features Edie Sedgwick, Art Sorority for Girls and Brenda.

We’re still waiting on the rest of this summer’s schedule. In the mean time, hope the weather holds up and get yourself to the grassy spread at the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and Chesapeake Street NW. Remember, no glass bottles.
