Out of all of the 90’s alt-rock singers to play the Lilith Fair, none are weirder then Fiona Apple. The diminutive singer who put all of her scars on display dated the magician David Blaine, was married to Paul Thomas Anderson and proclaimed the “world is bullshit” on the MTV Video Music Awards. In sixteen years of making music, Apple has only released four albums, but her devoted fans that hold her close to their hearts treasure each one. Her latest release The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do is one of the best albums of the year and tonight Apple will grace a sold out Warner Theatre for a victory lap. Fans got a preview of the record at her Sixth & I show last March including today’s song of the day “Anything We Want.” Apple and her drummer Charley Drayton recorded the album together and it shows. Random clanging percussion blends Apple’s piano and confessional lyrics. For those of you who have tickets, you are in for a treat. If not, there is always Craigslist.

Fiona Apple plays tonight with Blake MIlls at the Warner Theatre. Tickets are Sold Out.
