Some opponents, like County Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio, puts the county’s choice bluntly: “You’ve got a crazy circumstance in which the general public is going to get raped or not get raped.”

>> Four D.C. police officers were indicted for their alleged roles in a beating last summer outside the Lotus nightclub on K Street NW, the Post reports. The officers were off-duty at the time of the brawl, which got so nasty that the victim lost an eye.
