Hours after she served breakfast to President Obama this morning, Josephine “Ann” Harris, the owner of a diner in Akron, Ohio died of a heart attack. She was 70.

Obama was in the second day of a campaign swing through Ohio and Pennsylvania and, having stayed overnight in Akron, went to Harris’ restaurant Ann’s Place for a hearty Midwestern breakfast. Shortly after Obama’s visit ended, Harris began feeling ill, the Akron Beacon Journal reports:

…Harris, 70, of Copley Township, was taken by ambulance to Akron General Medical Center after complaining of fatigue and a tingling feeling. She was pronounced dead at 11:18 a.m., according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

During his visit to the restaurant, Obama talked with Harris and shared a hug. Harris’ sister told the Beacon Journal that the restaurateur was a fan of the president’s. “I’m sure this was her highlight,” Frankie Adkins said. “She loved Obama.”

While at Harris’ restaurant, Obama ordered two eggs, over medium, with bacon and wheat toast, and was also offered a serving of grits, according to a pool report. He dined with a group of three employees from the local Goodyear tire plant.
