Eat Local First, a campaign celebrating local food in the D.C.-area, launches this weekend. The week-long campaign also will focus on farms, restaurants and the organizations and people who are making “locally-grown food more accessible in the DC community.”

The campaign also includes Farm-to-Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants such as Ripple, Domku and Darlington House will be offering special menus dedicated to the event.

The kick off party is this afternoon at Acre 21, 1400 Irving Street NW, from 3-7 p.m. Tickets are $25.
