FUNDRAISER: Help City Dogs Rescue raise funds to fulfill their mission of rescuing adoptable dogs at the Drink for the Dogs event at The Queen Vic (1206 H Street NE) tonight. An open bar will be offered from 7:00-9:00 p.m. along with a variety of prizes. Tickets are $25 online, and may be available at the door if the event doesn’t sell out.

MUSIC: Wilco plays Wolf Trap (1645 Trap Road Vienna VA) tonight and tomorrow with Lee Ranaldo Band (of Sonic Youth). 8:00 p.m. both nights. $35 lawn, $45 in-house.

GARDENS: Attend an Edible Urban Garden Tour and After-Party in Shaw (9th and N Streets NW) this evening to “be inspired by local DC residents who have created sustainable and edible gardens here in a historic heart of the city.” The tour goes from 5:00-8:00 p.m., followed by an after party at OCg with live music from bluegrass band Sligo Creek Stompers. This event is part of Eat Local First week. Tickets: $20.

ART: come see counter-proposal to Frank Gehry’s Eisenhower Memorial submitted by architects, artists, and designers at the opening reception tonight of the Eisenhower Counter-Proposal Competition Exhibition at the Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center (227 Massachusetts Avenue NE). 7:00-9:00 p.m. Free.
